Clearview Windows®
Desktop Client
From the very
beginning, you'll notice that
the Clearview
traditional Windows client is strikingly unique
compared to
other
ECM products. Incorporating the latest Microsoft®
user experience
standards (including Office
2007 and Outlook) gives the familiar interface
an elegant feel, while also making it quick and easy to learn as well as use. |
Even though the Clearview
client interface is highly intuitive, great
importance
has been placed on providing in-depth online help
directly within
the product interface using the latest in help
system technology. Your
information workers will be able to quickly locate
their own answers to
detailed or advanced product usage questions from
this
informative online resource.

The Clearview Content
Tree provides a familiar navigation
through your organization's
content libraries. Each Clearview
installation's Content Tree can be customized to fit
your business operations and the way your
information workers
access or use content. The "Find" or search
for content can be executed
at any level of the tree, providing flexible means
of searching for specific
types of content, or searching across entire
applications or organizations.
|
Flexible indexing (metatag)
is user-defined by each organization
for each type of content managed by Clearview. This enables
comprehensive filing and subsequent retrieval of
content
easily on demand. |
Search results for folders, individual documents, or content
can be displayed in a classic "Tree" type structure or in a grid
format. This is just one example of the
personalized attributes
that information workers can set to make their
experience with
Clearview productive and easy-to-use. |
The Clearview Intelligent Foldering functionality (called iFolders)
provides many advanced features for not only
organizing
content into business-centric views, but also
enabling
advanced functionality like Content Audit, Tracking
and Reporting,
to make sure the right content is absolutely stored
in the right
file. This gives you the ability to make sure
your files are always
in compliance. |
Information workers can
quickly initiate workflows directly from
the Clearview user experience while viewing the
supporting
business content.
|
The advanced user
experience incorporates tabbed dialogs
(such as Internet Explorer 7) to enable users to
effectively
work with multiple elements of content at the same
time. |
Clearview Report
Management (or COLD) functionality
enables you to store computer-generated output from
your
business applications directly into the Clearview
solution.
Report output management covers periodically
produced accounting
reports, explanation of benefits, statements,
invoices, and all
other forms of "documents" created by your business
applications. |
The Clearview "ribbon" user experience
groups tools into logical
categories for easy
identification and usage. The
Advanced Tools
tab provides information workers with
an array
of powerful capabilities at their fingertips.
|
Clearview is fully and
seamlessly integrated with Microsoft Office 2003
and the new Office 2007. Full
rights-controlled access and
subsequent change management controls are in place
at
all times as content is viewed and used. |
The Clearview Document
Management functionality
tightly integrated with Microsoft Office
applications includes
advanced functionality such as version management,
comparison,
and
restoration - all under user access controls. |
The
Clearview Document Management functionality also
includes
"library services" designed to control not only who
can edit documents
during their lifecycle, but also controls access so
that multiple editors
are disabled from overwriting their individual
changes or contributions. |
